Quickening / flow

Quickening / flow is a moving image study of a small stream at Quarrymill Woodland Park, Perth, developed alongside the Form series. I wanted the encounter to stay quiet and within its own setting, observed rather than staged.

Light shifts across the water, sound carries through it and the surface is constantly changing. Working with duration, motion and sound lets attention build over time, extending the enquiry into perception beyond sight, towards a fuller, bodily sense of place.
